CanKor Report

A periodic compendium of the best material on this website, The CanKor Report is edited by Erich Weingartner, who has more than 25 years experience with the DPRK. He was resident of Pyongyang from 1997 to 1999 as the founding Head of the Food Aid Liaison Unit (FALU) of the UN World Food Programme (WFP) and has continued regular visits to North Korea on behalf of humanitarian NGOs. What’s more, Erich consults the CanKor Brain Trust, a posse of 30 North Korea experts hailing from academic, foreign service, humanitarian, and activist worlds.

Once upon a time, The CanKor Report could boast that it was a “one-stop shop” for keeping up-to-date on what is happening in and with the DPRK. That was before CanKor turned 10! Teenagers like to be interactive. They like to experiment. The CanKor Report is poised to evolve accordingly.
